Arma Partners advises Inca Digital Printers Ltd. in its acquisition by Dainippon Screen Mfg. Co., Ltd

Inca Digital Printers Ltd., the specialist wide-format digital inkjet printer manufacturer, based in Cambridge, has been acquired by Dainippon Screen Mfg. Co., Ltd, based in Japan, for a total consideration of £30m ($55m) in cash. The acquisition will enable Dainippon Screen to further strengthen its presence in the digital imaging and printing market as well as gain access to important new markets in industrial printing and packaging.
Arma Partners acted as the exclusive financial advisor to Inca Digital Printers Ltd.

Arma Partners advised UK-based Anite Group plc, which is listed on the London Stock Exchange (AIE.L), on the disposal of Anite Consulting GmbH, based in Vienna, Austria. The disposal is in line with Anite’s stated strategy following its recent strategic review of disposing of non-core peripheral businesses to better focus on its three core vertical markets of public sector, telecoms and travel.

Cirpack S.A.S., the European leader in providing next generation Class-5 voice switching platforms to telecoms operators, has been acquired by Thomson SA (Euronext Paris 18453; NYSE: TMS), for an undisclosed amount. Both companies are headquartered in Paris, France. The acquisition will enable Thomson SA to further strengthen its existing offering to telecoms operators in Internet Protocol (IP) telephony and triple play (voice, video, data).
Arma Partners acted as the exclusive financial advisor to Cirpack S.A.S.

Following a 70% increase in European technology M&A volume in 2004, Arma Partners expects the increased pace of M&A activity in the sector to continue in 2005, driven by proliferation of disruptive technologies, urgent consolidation needs in many parts of the sector and increasing confidence in values. In many segments, stabilizing markets have allowed companies to diversify focus from the urgent short-term revenue defense and cost issues of 2002 and 2003 to address longer term strategic issues and value creation.
