Arma Partners advises Unit4 Group in connection with its sale of Unit4 Bedrijfssoftware to Exact

Arma Partners is pleased to announce that it acted as exclusive financial advisor to Unit4 Group, a portfolio company of Advent International, in connection with the sale of its Benelux domestic arm Unit4 Bedrijfssoftware to Exact, a portfolio company of KKR. The transaction is subject to applicable anti-trust clearance, as well as works council consultation.

Headquartered in Utrecht, Netherlands, Unit4 Bedrijfssoftware provides a comprehensive end-to-end suite of cloud-based financial reporting, tax preparation, bookkeeping, HR and practice management software to accountancy firms and SMEs across the Benelux region. Unit4 Bedrijfssoftware was carved out from Unit4 Group in 2019 and has been run as an independent entity since then. It has 268 employees across four offices in the Netherlands and Belgium.

The transaction brings together two leading Dutch software players, offering their customers best-in-class software and accelerating product innovation. The addition of Unit4 Bedrijfssoftware’s product portfolio allows Exact to offer its customers a broader range of products and services specifically designed to serve their needs. The acquisition is a validation of both companies’ joint commitment to the SME and accountancy markets in the Benelux region.
