Arma Partners is pleased to announce that it has acted as exclusive financial adviser to Sagemcom on the sale of its M2M (Machine-to-Machine) business to Sierra Wireless (NASDAQ: SWIR, TSX: SW) for €44.9 million. Sagemcom M2M business significantly enhances Sierra Wireless’s market position in key market segments, including payment, transportation, and railways, as well as provides geographic expansion into Brazil.

Sagemcom is the French high-technology group serving the broadband, energy and telecom markets and is majority owned by the Carlyle Group. Their M2M business is a leading provider of wireless communications solutions to a wide range of M2M and railway applications, such as point-of-sale, automotive, energy, security and GSM-R (Global System for Mobile Communication – Railway). The business is headquartered in Paris, France.

Sierra Wireless is a global market leader in M2M and mobile computing markets with the industry’s most comprehensive portfolio of devices and applications. The Company partners with network operators and system integrators to tailor communications solutions to key verticals such as energy, telecom, automotive and transportation. Its customer base includes top mobile network operators and OEMs around the world. The Company is headquartered in British Columbia, Canada.
