Arma Partners is pleased to announce that it acted as exclusive financial advisor to Bharti Airtel International (Netherlands) BV on the sale of Airtel’s operations in Burkina Faso and Sierra Leone to Orange.

Through this deal Orange will reinforce its presence in Africa with two additional countries, adding almost 5.5 million customers to its mobile customer base. This acquisition marks an important step forward in Orange’s growth strategy and will bring its African footprint up to 20 countries in 2016. Orange will acquire 100% of the two companies’ share capital for consideration of 7.9 times March 31, 2016 EBITDA. The consolidated revenue of the two companies is around €275 million.

This transaction demonstrates Arma Partners’ deep domain expertise in the communications services sector and its ability to manage large cross-border strategic M&A for public company clients.
