Arma Partners is pleased to announce that it has acted as exclusive financial advisor to Creditcall, a portfolio company of FPE Capital and Bestport Ventures, on its sale to NMI, a portfolio company of Francisco Partners and Great Hill Partners.

Creditcall is a recognised leader in the EMV payment terminal market and develops contact and contactless payment software for mobile, online and in-store payments services for a global customer base across industry sectors including parking, ticketing, transportation, vending, retail and hospitality. Creditcall is headquartered in Bristol, UK, with offices in New York, USA, and has operations in 37 countries and over 100 employees.

NMI is a leading provider of payments enablement technology for ISOs, VARs, ISVs and payment facilitators which allows its clients to offer branded payment gateway services without building or maintaining their own technology. NMI provides critical payment technology for over 1,000 affiliates and 100,000 merchants and is headquartered in Roselle, USA.

This transaction demonstrates Arma Partners’ continued strength in Financial Technology and the firm’s ability to deliver highly successful outcomes for private equity-backed businesses and on cross-border transactions.

-Creditcall will help NMI expand its global presence and boost access into new markets; the combined entity will account for more than $45 billion of payment volume globally with more than 165 processor integrations and 100-plus device certifications.

-The acquisition will differentiate NMI from traditional payments gateway providers through the expansion of omni-channel and EMV capabilities, creating a one-of-a-kind payment gateway platform.

-The acquisition creates a single vendor and platform that seamlessly integrates and simplifies the complexities of card-present and card-not-present payments, delivering a true omni-channel solution.

-Arma Partners supported the company in the exit process, including financial analysis, strategic positioning, valuation, marketing materials preparation and initiated contact with a highly focused group of counterparties.

-NMI emerged as the most attractive bidder for the business and Arma, together with the management team, consequently worked towards a compact timeline creating and maintain significant competitive tension for the asset to enable a value optimising outcome.

-Overall, Arma Partners assisted the management and owners of Creditcall to realise their strategic objectives, drawing on Arma’s extensive experience in the Payments sector.
