Arma Partners advises Wolters Kluwer on its €425 million acquisition of Brightflag
Arma Partners is pleased to announce that it has acted as exclusive financial advisor to Wolters Kluwer on its acquisition of Brightflag, valuing the company at an enterprise value of €425 million. The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and is expected to be completed in June 2025.
Brightflag is a leading AI-powered, cloud-based legal operations software platform designed to streamline matter management, control legal spend and collaborate seamlessly with external legal counsel. With offices in New York, Ireland and Australia, the company supports a global network of legal professionals. Brightflag has demonstrated impressive growth momentum, with ARR more than doubling over the last three years, reaching €27 million as of April 2025, supported by a recurring revenue base of 95% with approximately 60% from US customers.
The acquisition will extend Wolters Kluwer’s presence among mid-size corporations in the US and Europe. Brightflag’s team of 155 full-time employees will join Wolters Kluwer’s Legal & Regulatory division, bringing valuable expertise and innovation to the business.
